The Roc de Chère
SEE THE VIDEO
An immense rock overlooking the lake, the "Roc de Chère" dominates Talloires and Menthon and offers remarkable views over the lake.
The attraction of this grand 200 hectare wooded mountain does not stop there: its flora is astonishing! Mediterranean species, like travelling madder or the Montpellier maple, live alongside plants which prefer the cool, humid climate, such as rhododendron or the bog moss.
To preserve this diversity, a part of the Roc de Chère has been classed as a natural reserve since 1977 and is subject to special regulations.
To discover the features of this area, follow the reserve's guide.
